About Author

Nilima Jha has written a book of folktales as well as several short stories in Hindi and English. A member of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children, one of her Hindi stories has been made into a film.

RK Murthi is a leading figure in the field of children's literature in India and has a number of award-winning books of his credit. He is currently the Vice-President of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children and the Secretary-General of the Indian Society of Authors.

Nilima Sinha has written many mystery and adventure novels, short stories, plays, historical fiction, and folk stories and has won several prizes for her extremely popular work. As a storyteller, her special interests lie in Indian history and the environment.

Thangamani is a Delhi-based writer who addresses contemporary issues concerning teenagers in her stories. She has won several prizes for her stories. She also writes humour columns for adults.

Deepa Agarwal has written about twenty-five books for children of all ages, both in English and Hindi. She has won many awards, including the NCERT National Award for Children's Literature. She also writes fiction and poetry for adults.

Dilip M Salwi has been writing on various aspects of science and technology for more than 20 years; and specialises in writing for children and teenagers. He has to date published several articles in various prestigious newspapers and magazines, both in India and abroad, and has authored many award-winning popular science books. Thangam Krishnan graduated in English Literature from Allahabad University and has some award-winning short stories to her credit. She is also on the editorial board of the journal of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children.

Swapna Dutta has been writing for the last two decades in English, Hindi and Bengali. Her work has appeared in leading children's magazines and she has over thirty books to her credit, including translations. She has also won many awards for her writing.

Dipavali Debroy writes in English and Bengali for children and for adults. A prize-winning writer, her published works include Kusum (a novel), the Puranas, the Vedas and the Upanishads in English, short stories in Children's World and several collections of stories.
